RESEARCH INTEREST

I am fascinated with the natural products chemistry of various sources. I have worked on plants, marine bacteria, and cyanobacteria. Currently, I am working on soil bacteria and fungi. I enjoy devising strategies to isolate and purify compounds from complex extracts, and elucidating the structure of new compounds. It is my hope that my efforts would lead to the development of drug candidates and a better understanding of biosynthetic pathways and bioactivity mechanisms.
