- Abstract
- A Streptomyces strain isolated in China produced a new antibiotic selectively against Xanthomonas. The antibiotic was named xanthostatin. The mol. formula of xanthostatin was C44H61N7O13. Acid hydrolyzate of xanthostatin showed threonine, serine, glycine and tyrosine in an approx. reation of 2:1:1:0.6.
