- Streptomyces sp. RK95-74
- Biological activity
- cytotoxic, apoptosis inducing activity
- Abstract
- Cytotrienin A and B, two novel triene-ansamycins containing a unique 1-aminocyclopropane carboxylic acid moiety, were isolated from the culture broth of Streptomyces sp. through a separation procedure guided by the cytotoxic activity in vitro. The structures were elucidated on the basis of spectroscopic data. Cytotrienins A nad B exhibited a potent apoptosis-nducing actibity on human leukemia HL-60 cells.
